Tribute to Malaysian Ninjas!

TRIBUTE TO MALAYSIA NINJAS!

I want to bring special attention and appreciation to all the hard-working laborers of Malaysia, who I loving call the "Malaysian Ninjas"!

They work day after day in the heat and even when it is raining.

Love all you guys and ladies who work so hard around Kuching, Sarawak!

They look so colorful and mysterious with their faces covered and googles on!

                     THANKS GUYS!

Taking a well-deserved break?

Fire Extinguishers and School Supplies and Uniforms - Balaga, Sarawak May 2018

After a 4 and 1/2 hour drive deep in the jungle, LDS Charities and Rotary Club of Bintulu Central boarded a boat for another 30 minutes to get to the remote SK Airport School outside of Balaga, Sarawak where we provided school uniforms and supplies to this hostel/school for the students whose families live along the river.

The school was in a beautiful setting right along the river.

On the same trip, we also provided fire extinguishers and training to two longhouse villages in the area.

These villages have had no source of fire protection in the past and were grateful for this training to help protect their villages.

Villagers were shown how to properly use and maintain the fire extinguishes.  Even the children got to learn how to properly protect their villages from fire and to learn how to stop a fire from spreading by using the extinguishers.

April 3, 2018 Humanitarian Project Closing Ceremony for the Special Needs Class

On April 3, 2018, we held a closing ceremony for the completion of the covered outside play area for the special needs class room in Kuching.  Prior to the project, the students had no area to play and hold activities outside of their classroom.  This covered patio area provided a fun place for students to be protected from the heat of the sun and the often rainy weather.
LDS Charities partnered with the Rotary Club of Kuching Central who acted as the overseers and facilitators of the project.

Elder & Sister Wilson enjoyed meeting each of the students and sharing smiles and pictures with one another.

The students also had fun sharing their talents with us!
